that winter weather advisory for all of western maryland including frederick. baltimore, washington going to get in on the action here. just not quite enough to meet the winter weather advisory requirements. we think we'll get an inch of slushy wintry mess in the morning. first precipitation being picked up on radar. there is cold air. a lot is not touching the ground. there is also dry air at the surface. it appears now that the washington will probably get most of this slushy mess, especially west of d.c. i think we'll get some of it around baltimore. you want to watch out for that's specially during the morning rush hour. first band pushing in now. most of this not touching the ground. there is cold rain moving into deep southern maryland at the moment. you can see the storm system spiraling here into kentucky and tennessee sending that first wave of precipitation. there will be more coming behind this first wave that will make it to the groundin the overnight hours as the temperature falls close to the freezing mark. forecast model. we'll break it down. watch as we go towards mid nigh
